It has been increasingly recognized that certain mental disorders can be linked to traumatic brain incidents, which may have a more significant influence on their development than simply being dependent on an individual's strength. Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) or other significant head traumas can disrupt brain function and alter the neural circuitry involved in mood regulation, cognition, and behavior, potentially contributing to the onset or exacerbation of mental health conditions. Understanding the relationship between traumatic brain incidents and mental disorders requires a comprehensive assessment that takes into account both the biological impact of the injury and the individual's unique strengths and vulnerabilities.

After 23 years and 83,000 brain scans, Dr.Amen has determined that in mental dis-ease stems from traumatic brain incidents. Being raised in the height of the glorification of the health care system, this speech was profound to me; we have been treating the symptoms and not the root of the problem the whole time..
